Little Sleepyhead

Sweet girl no longer stays awake during her last bottle. When she was a newborn I loved how she would drink with her eyes closed then fall asleep in my arms. Once she got a bit older it rarely happened. Now that she is continuing to adjust to dropping the 5 p.m. nap, she falls asleep during almost every nighttime bottle... I love it. It's just so sweet to see her so snuggly and to have her just snooze away in my arms. Here are a few pics - I can't get over it!

Becks & Cousin Dane in Their Halloween Best

Devon took these ADORABLE pictures of our babies yesterday at the Old Cemetery in Decatur. Gigi was on hand to help her Spiderman and Ghost grandbabies. I am just obsessed with how they turned out - so cool and such a fun idea. I love how sweet they are with each other!

Week 37: 7 Days of Beckett

Day 253 (10/19); Playing at Andy & Monica's house on Football Saturday! She was asleep by the time we won the big game against Texas A&M!

Day 254 (10/20); enjoying the day outside eating her finger foods - Reuben and Remy are liking her transition to finger foods LOL

Day 255 (10/21); On location in a beautiful home in Buckhead for a Mudpie shoot. The room wasn't kid-friendly but it, like the house, was STUNNING! Hope to see pics of the shoot soon - eeee!

Day 256 (10/22); Bathtime with Mom while Dad was in Boston; sweet girl has so much fun now that she has bath toys and sits up!

Day 258 (10/24); Playing with sweet girl Lola at picnic playdate (truth be told they both seem too independent to play together right now lol)

Day 259 (10/25); Smiley baby girl (ironically taken AFTER she wouldn't give any smiles at her second Mud-pie shoot. Sigh!

Likes: 

• crawling - you can't stop this girl - she is all over everywhere, all the time!
• eating grass - she will not stop grabbing for the grass. The pediatrician said to let her do it, so I did, and she threw up. eek!
• playing with others - she has the biggest smile on her face when I go pick her up at the gym Infant Room and she is sitting with her favorite care givers and other babies playing with blocks and singing - it's adorable
• remote controls - loves 'em!
• Saying 'bah' - she is really working on spitting this consonant out!
• Pulling up on things - she tries to pull on tables, bags, me - she wants to go!
• Being held up and "walking" - she takes steps when you hold her and moves OUT in her walker. You can tell she is loving the independence.
• Recordings of me singing her favorite songs. Good gosh my voice is horrible - a voice only my baby could love! But when we're in the car and she is wailing I can play them and it works like a pacifier

Dislikes:

• her car seat - she really doesn't want to be contained any more. at all. 
• being separated - you can tell she is starting to get anxiety when we put her on the floor - she freaks out if she even thinks you're stepping away
• having her diaper changed - it's getting to be dangerous changing it - eek!
• having her clothes changed - same deal, I change her on the floor now so it's more safe
• her stroller - we had a rough walk on the Greenway - she wasn't having it!

Her Week in a Nutshell:

• Saturday: Visit to Monica & Andy's for Auburn's win over Texas A&M
• Sunday: Family day at home! Walk with Sharon on the Greenway (walk was cut short though as Beckett wasn't feeling it - boo)
• Monday: Infant Room with Samantha at gym; Mud-pie Photo Shoot in Buckhead for bubble suit
• Tuesday: Infant room with Andrea at gym; Austin in Boston so Mom & Beckett day!
• Wednesday: Playdate at the park with Mom's Group - cold day and LOTS of swinging!
• Thursday: Playdate picnic with Stacy and Lola Wilson
• Friday: Infant Room with Andrea at gym; Mud-pie Photo Shoot in Tucker for a nightgown and two bibs

Cold Autumn Day at the Park

On Wednesday me and Beckett met up with the standing Wednesday playdate group for a little fun in the sun. Or so we thought - it ended up being brrrrrr chilly! We still had a great time though. Although Beckett ate grass and threw up on her leggings/socks, and is at that funky age where she doesn't sit still but also can't keep up with the "big kids" so she definitely made me work extra hard to keep her safe! LOL Here are a few pics, combining mine, Joleen's & Sarah's.

Week 36: 7 Days of Beckett

Day 246 (10/12); Baby girl in the stands at her first Auburn game! Special thanks to the Cardens for having us stay all weekend, and the Veloti for a wonderful tailgate and for being so generous with their tickets so Beckett could enjoy!

Day 247 (10/13); Testing out her new sweater after a long ride back from Alabama and a day of getting ready for the week to come!

Day 248 (10/14); cute smiles in her colored denim and 'egg plant a kiss on me' shirt!

Day 249 (10/15); A sneak peek from Joleen from Beckett's North American Bear photo shoot!

Day 250 (10/16); Happy girl in her chambray polka dots chilling on her parents bed!

Day 251 (10/17); Happy crawler in her crayon onesie that may still be a bit too big!

Day 252 (10/18); Sleepy face playing after naptime in her sweater - it's so dang cold already! Crazy!

Likes:

• Abby's headphones. Such a great loan! She would smile so big when we put them on her, then of course she would try to eat them. haha
• The football game. She LOVED the people, the sounds - SO MUCH NEW for her. I am thrilled that was able to go to her first game already!
• Dogs. She is REALLY into dogs. All dogs, Reuben and Remy for sure, but she did great with Teresa's pups, too.
• Kids. Emma and Michael were so sweet with her - she loved playing with them and Emma even shared her crown with her - adorable.
• iPad. She is fascinated with iPads - if you have it, or a remote control, or an iPhone - she wants it badly and now protests if you don't let her have it!
• Watching videos of herself. I will prop my iPhone up with a video of her on it and she will crawl across the room so fast to get to it - adorable!
• Having her picture taken. She really seems to love it and smiles so big. Being able to have her picture taken with toys was very fun - she loved these squeaky plush donuts!
• The ergo baby. We're really using it a lot now and I can carry her all over (facing in/on front). She did great in at Auburn - I was so proud of her!

Dislikes:

• Sleeping 'on the go'; it took her a very long time to go down for her naps at the tailgate. Like 20 minutes longer than usual. BUT, she did it, she slept and it all worked out. 
• Sitting still. It's getting increasingly hard - she wants to go, go, go!
• Having her diaper changed. She kind of screams now when I try to do it - true story. She squirms so fast and hard until she is practically crawling on her change table. Not safe, people!

Her Week in a Nutshell:

• Saturday: A day on the plains in Auburn, including a great family tailgate and the game!
• Sunday: Catch up day! Getting back to Georgia and getting the house in order for the week
• Monday: LOTS of crawling - like she is fast now and on the move in a big way! Trip to the Gym Infant Room and to the grocery store
• Tuesday: North American Bear photo shoot with Joleen; a bit of playtime with Chanel & Henry
• Wednesday: Visited neighbor Shana who gave us some materials for Beckett's Halloween costume; Gym Infant Room with Miss Samantha
• Thursday: Rainy day! Playdates cancelled, ended up spending time with Lexus getting 4 new tires
• Friday: Infant Room with Andrea; family night at home!

Week 35: 7 Days of Beckett

Day 239 (10/5); Love waking up this sweet girl! this is the face I see in the morning, right before she breaks out into a huge smile, and then starts to look sad as she wants that diaper changed pronto

Day 240 (10/6); Happy girl in her high chair waiting for mom to finish prepping her breakfast - she LOVES these little noisemakers from Dane's second birthday!

Day 241 (10/7); Happy baby girl post-bath - she loves this time with her Dad.

Day 242 (10/8); Sitting outside in my pretty dress!

Day 243 (10/9); ball pit! (Catch Air playdate!)

Day 244 (10/10); Halloween outfit ready for lunch with friends!

Day 245 (10/11); silly face whilest playing in pack & play with dino! Pack & play enabled me to pack our things for an Auburn weekend!

Another great week with sweet Beckett girl!

Likes:

• Playing in her pack & play - I was surprised but she seems to enjoy it, for 10 minutes anyway!
• Ball pits - she loved catch air including the bounce house and the 
• High chairs - I think she feels like a big girl? I dunno - but she did great in the high chair at Sweet Tomatoes - I was super proud of her.
• Being outside. She really can't get enough of it - I think she loves the sounds and sun!

Dislikes:

• Wearing socks. I seriously can't keep them on her. I put them on her and 5 minutes later one is gone and one is in her mouth. Sigh!
• Car rides. They're getting tough - the longer they are the worse she behaves - eek! She seems to hate being confined now that she's mobile!

Her Week in a Nutshell:

• Saturday: Visit to see Gigi's new place & Aunt Devon & Cousin Dane; Visit from the Mittelbronns - Melissa, Jon and three-year-old Madison for dinner & football
• Sunday: Family day at home, grocery store, lots of time with Dad
• Monday: Infant Room at Gym with Miss Andrea; played outside with exer-saucer and went to swings
• Tuesday: Infant Room with Miss Jill
• Wednesday: Playdate at Catch Air; visit to Infant Room with Miss Laura; visit to the Chiropractor with Miss Brittany
• Thursday: Lunch at Sweet Tomatoes with Ashley, McKenzie, Hanna and Abby - girl lunch! Park with Mom & Dad and visit from Hanna to test out headphones for Auburn!
• Friday: Packing day! Time to take Beckett to Auburn for her first visit to the Cardens and to her first Veloti tailgate. Left Atlanta around 3.

Bath Time = Toy Time

I am scary behind on updating so for now here is a pic of Beckett from tonight's bath, and a few from earlier today! She loves sitting up and playing with her bath toys now - growing up so fast!

Lowered the Crib

Beckett is on the go, moving from tummy to crawling to sitting and back again! It's very exciting! Today I found her in her crib like this, so Austin promptly lowered it - she is such a big girl - I love it but I can't stand it!

Sliding

This little ham loves to "slide"! Austin holds her and she "slides" down, smiling all the way - so sweet! Love our evening family walks, the poodles seem to love them most!

Beckett Goes to Auburn

So many more pics to come but here is one for now! Beckett did SO great this weekend. I was nervous about all of the new things - her sleeping in the same room as us, her taking naps outdoors/in public places, her going to the game and dealing with crowds, her in the stands and in my carrier - you name it - lots of new! But it all went very well! More details and pics later!
