Gardening with Daddy

This girl LOVES to follow her daddy around outside while he checks the plants! A month ago I grabbed her her own bucket and tools and surprised her and Austin with them - now she really gets in on the action or, you know, teeths on the tools and tottles around after Austin looking very serious. Yesterday I got her picture out there in her cutie cute strawberry dress with her big before-bathtime smile. Love this sweet girl so much - she has so much personality and is just the friendliest little sweetie.

Week 68: 7 Days of Beckett

Her Week in a Nutshell:

• Saturday: Beautiful day at the lake with the family - water time, boat time!
• Sunday: Same - another great day at the lake - this time she used her water table more!
• Monday: Travel day - bye bye to Mimi, Poppa, Aunt Sharon & Uncle Terry and hello to home!
• Tuesday: Day at home with mama getting the house back in order!
• Wednesday: Back to gym toddler room while Mama walked with Josie, Roman's mom; night with Dad while Mama went to a friend's going away dinner (Abby's mom Hanna is moving to Texas)
• Thursday: Toddler room at gym
• Friday: Mall visit with Josie & Roman including lunch a bit of shopping; toddler room at gym

Surprise Playdate with Cousin Dane

Beckett had a surprise yesterday! Monday started with the usual, omelet with mom, playtime with mom, nap, visit with gym friends, banana snack, home for lunch and playtime with mom, then nap. When she got up from her nap we were planning to head to the grocery store, gas station and drycleaners (so exciting haha). But we got a call from Beckett's Aunt Devon and Gigi - they were up in the area shopping and offered to stop by to visit. We said absolutely, and hung out, had snack and played outside until they arrived around 4:30. Beckett was SO excited to see them, as well as cousin Dane. She:

• Played so well with Dane! They had fun playing with balls in the backyard, chasing around the poodles, and playing chase inside (he would chase her around the kitchen - she would squeal - it was adorable
• Visited the playground! Her and Dane played on the slides and the swings and ran around having fun
• Gave her Gigi a kiss. She has been more and more into giving kisses and it's just the cutest thing!
• Took selfies with Aunt Devon - Becks loves a good selfie and they were ADORABLE!
• Had some of the pita pizza her cousin Dane made - she liked it!
• Had her first 'co-bath' - her and Dane were adorable in the bath and played for a bit until Beckett crashed - think we overdid it on the fun times with cousin!

Wonderful surprise visit! Wish I had taken more pictures of the kids at the park and playing in the backyard, but the bath pics are so cute they make me not feel bad for missing the others! I will say that my favorite was probably them playing chase - they were just having SO much fun and it was awesome to see them enjoying each other!

Special Mother's Day

Last year Beckett was a tiny little 4-month old baby girl, but this year she was a walking, talking toddler bursting with energy and personality! Her and Austin made my weekend so special, making me breakfast, picking roses from the garden, and making rose crafts with her handprints - adorable! Such a surprise to find out they were crafting without me! LOL They also got me a massage and facial - amazing Saturday morning for sure. On Mother's Day we all had family breakfast then went to church. The service was so pretty, and Beckett was even in their program as a 2013 baby of the church - so sweet to celebrate these little ones and the service was focused on parenting which was nice and relevant! Afterwards Beckett had a nap, then we drove down to Sandy Springs to meet Beckett's Gigi, Aunt Devon, Uncle Zach and Cousin Dane for some playtime at Catch Air! She is more independent every day, so we took turns chasing her around, and let her try the ball pit, slides and all kinds of toys! The kids had a blast! We headed for Mexican afterward - my favorite. Such a great and special Mother's Day weekend capped off with my favorite time of day - bedtime, playing and reading with my sweet, sleepy girl. I love my family and am so grateful that they love me, too, and made this weekend so fun!

Week 67: 7 Days of Beckett

5/17; late afternoon walk in unseasonably cold weather!

5/20; trying on an outfit in the front yard (and playing with her a rose!)

5/21; Mommy & Beckett bathtime shot - Austin ALWAYS does bath, but every once in a while he has a work event or is out of town so I do it - it's pretty fun!

5/22; getting more and more difficult to take pictures of this mobile girl! 

5/23; sweet girl in her maxi sundress at the lake - she definitely has sunscreen + boat hair! hehe

Her Week in a Nutshell:

• Saturday: Day with Mom and Dad and then night with Lexie, our sweet babysitter, while Mom and Dad went to a party at Austin's boss's house!
• Sunday: Family day at home!
• Monday: Visit to the toddler room at the gym; visit to Webb Bridge Park sandbox
• Tuesday: Visit to Jennifer's house to meet Baby Molly; visit to toddler room at the gym; park meetup with Sharon & baby Peyton; visit from Melissa! (Austin out of town again so packed schedule!)
• Wednesday: Early morning grocery store trip; Fowler Park with Sarah & Gavin; visit to Andy & Monica's to see Baby John and bring Pesto dinner for the new parents!
• Thursday: Visit to the toddler room at the gym; major packing - lots of helping mommy!
• Friday: Morning at home; on the road from 11:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.ish  (a few stops in between, including a bit of playground Chick-fil-a time) - got to the lake in time for a dip and a boat ride before bedtime!

Week 66: 7 Days of Beckett

Day 460 (5/10); hanging with friend Peyton!

Day 461 (5/11); bathtime! her absolute favorite!

Day 462 (5/12); climbing as always!

Day 463 (5/13); messy face after some spoon practice with pureed apples/bananas & peaches!

Day 464 (5/14); more spoon practice - this time with yogurt!

Day 465 (5/15); wearing her new dress while holding a mini colander of course!

Day 466 (5/16); selfie with mommy

Her Week in a Nutshell:

• Saturday: Day with dad while Mom had a massage and facial for mother's day! They crafted and then we hung out at the park with Peyton and home as a family
• Sunday: Mother's Day with Becks; church and then Catch Air with Gigi, Aunt Devon, Uncle Zach and Cousin Dane; out to eat Mexican
• Monday: Visit to toddler room at gym; visit to Pediatrician for 15-month appointment- baby girl has finally broken 20 pounds (20 pounds & 3 oz.) and is 31" long! Night with dad while Mom went to Cher/Cyndi Lauper concert
• Tuesday: Day at home with Mom; a few afternoon errands to post office, grocery store & drycleaners
• Wednesday: Visit to toddler room at gym; visit to Sharon's to see new dining room! Played with Peyton and some of her toys!
• Thursday: Visit to toddler room at gym!
• Friday: More errands - drycleaners and grocery store - I swear we live there! haha

Week 65: 7 Days of Beckett

Day 453 (5/3); lunching with Dad after a fun trip to Best Buy

Day 454 (5/4); Sunday morning in PjS before church and family day!

Day 455 (5/5); Sweet girl in her new aerial PJs - Aerial is her absolute favorite, although she may love Sebastian more!

Day 456 (5/6); dressing up with mommy to go meet Meghan and her boss in midtown

Day 457 (5/7); Gardening with daddy - so glad to have him back in town from Chicago!

Day 458 (5/8); road testing her new water shoes while cooking in the kitchen of course, one of her favorite spots!

Day 459 (5/9); trying on her first skirt overall set - love - helping mom put mail in the mailbox (other shots in this shoot have her holding mail!)

Her Week in a Nutshell: 

• Saturday: Lunch and errands with Dad; over to the Blancos to see them before the baby arrived! Andy grilled amazing pizza and we had a fun night!
• Sunday: Family day at home with an outing to church and out to eat at Pur Taqueria!
• Monday: Austin left for Chicago so we stayed busy with a visit to the gym and a visit to Sharon's house
• Tuesday: Another day without Austin! Went to midtown to meet Meghan and her boss; went to the gym to walk with Josie while Becks played with Roman in the toddler room
• Wednesday: Playdate at Chanel's with Henry & Roman; afternoon at the gym with Roman while Mom walked with his mom Josie; Austin home - gardening in the backyard!
• Thursday: Visit to the gym with Mom
• Friday: Day home with Mom!
