This week Beckett started smiling which was very fun! We don't know when we got our first 'true' smile as she still smiles a lot when she has tummy activity, but either way - we'll take the smiles! She's continuing to make her silly faces, and made us very proud this week when she took her first road trip to Alabama. We fed her right before we left, then rode out for 1.5 hours until her feeding. She did very well. I fed her the bottle en route, then we pulled over so I could take her out and burp her. Then we made it over to AL, put her in her bath right on schedule, fed her her bottle and put her down. She slept wonderfully the whole trip! She got to meet her Uncle Tyler as well as her Veloti family. On the way back from Alabama, she got to see her Aunt Devon, Uncle Zach and cousin Dane again. The kids were adorable together again - I'll have to post more pics.
All in all, we had a great week and, as usual, can't believe how big she's getting, can't believe she's 7 weeks, can't believe we've been parents for 50 days, lol - the list goes on. We're loving it and loving her. She is officially too big for her 'newborn size' clothes, and is moving into 0 - 3 month outfits. We did a crude weigh in (i.e., I get on scale and weigh myself, then hold her and re-weigh) and she weighed 11 pounds! We'll learn more at her April 8 appointment but so far our sweet, happy baby girl seems healthy!
