Happy 4th of July!

We're having a wonderful day so far! This morning we did Beckett's photo shoot in a precious red, white, and blue dress! We took pictures out front of her with one of my favorite stuffed animals growing up - a little bear with a yellow outfit and red bow - a Steiff bear with a squeaker! Afterwards we went for a family walk with the dogs, then her friend Trevor and his parents, Chad & Payten, came over to visit! We took the kids to the pool, then played in the backyard with the slide, pool, water table, lawnmower, gardening toys and balls - the kids had fun! Then we had lunch before both kids were spent - naptime! Here are a few pictures - after nap we're off to Andy & Monica's for a bit more pooltime and a pizza dinner - can't wait to see them and Baby John!

Week 71: 7 Days of Beckett

6/14; testing out the new float with Dad at her grandparents lake house!

6/15; having a great Father's Day weekend with dad - sad to leave the weekend after so much fun with her uncles and grandparents!

6/16; cheesing it up in the bath - this girl knows how to turn on the charm for SURE!

6/17; Teething Tuesday with bestie Lee - another fun playdate with these two

6/18; walking around in the backyard testing out her new toy - a treehouse/ladder/slide

6/19; picking the season's first tomato with Dad

6/20; hamming it up in a cute seersucker romper! This girl is a nut!

Her Week in a Nutshell: 

• Saturday: Great day at the lake with family and Uncle Tyler's friends and Uncle Elliot's girlfriend - loved the new float and even rode the jet ski!
• Sunday: Time to go home - sad! Mostly travel day!
• Monday: Toddler room at the gym; playdate at our house with Miss Melissa & baby McKenna
• Tuesday: Toddler room at the gym; playdate at our house with Miss LA & friend Lee
• Wednesday: Midmorning pool visit with Miss Traci, Miss Tiffani and friends Reagan, Sydney & baby Finley; afternoon visit to gym with Miss Josie & friend Roman 
• Thursday: Playtime with Dad while he worked at home and Mom ran lots of errands and got a new toy for the backyard!
• Friday: Pooltime with Mama (across the street!) and an evening walk with friend Peyton!

Her Week in a Nutshell:

• Saturday: Visit from Andy, Monica, Baby John & Tyler - dinner and drinks!
• Sunday: Family church visit and lunch in downtown Alpharetta; visit to pool with the Rollers (first skinned knee/blood - eek!)
• Monday: Busy errands day with mom; visit to Ikea and meetup with Aunt Devon & cousin Dane; visit to Walgreen's, Publix & Goodwill
• Tuesday: Toddler room at gym; playdate with Lee and John at Lee's House
• Wednesday: Toddler room at gym
• Thursday: Toddler room at gym; packing with mom!
• Friday: lots of outside playtime with Dad before a long carride to the lake for Father's Day weekend!

Beckett meets Bestie John Blanco

Beckett met John for the first time on Memorial Day! Me and Austin had both met him at the hospital, but sweet girl hadn't gotten to meet him yet and she loved him! 

John came to visit and Beckett was thrilled to see him - she loved his car seat and kept bringing him toys and giving him his pacifier - they were adorable together - he is such a good baby!

She found his pacifier and wanted permission to give it to him (she has a doll that has a magnetic pacifier she practices helping with LOL)

So sweet to see these two proud dads with their adorable babies

2014's First Tomato

Austin and Beckett pulled the first tomato off the vine in the backyard last night before dinner

She's just a little bit bigger than last year...

Another Goodwill Find!

I beeped in today looking for some more outdoor toys and this was the first thing I saw when I walked in:



I immediately googled it and found out it was the Step 2 Naturally Playful Lookout Treehouse! It is recommended for ages 18 months to 5 years old, so with her at 16 months old it seemed perfect. It had high reviews and the cheapest I could find it online was $110 on Amazon. Goodwill sold it for $25! No, it's not in pristine condition or anything - but it is safe, sturdy, cute and gets the job done. We hosed it down this afternoon and she played with it until we made her come in! She LOVED it. I only wish we had found it even sooner as I think she would have liked this in earlier in the year! Thankfully she still has room to grow! Here's some pics! Forgive the fact that she's topless - long story! LOL

She would have stayed on this for an hour! I let her go up, over and down, repeat about 20 times before we called it quits!

not sure what she liked better - climbing up or sliding down!

She was NOT happy when it was time to go in for dinner - EEK!

And yes, Beckett has ALL of her teeth now - they've been really bothering her - lots of pain, teething, gnawing on stuff and drooling - poor baby! Good thing she has so many fun toys to keep her distracted!
