Recent iPhone Pics

Normally, I take pictures of her with 'the good camera,' but often my iPhone is right there so I grab it and take pics of the little one. Here are some from this week!
I took Beckett out in the backyard and she immediately grabbed the blanket and covered her head lol
Big smiles for Austin when he got home and made her fly
A little tummy time shot - she enjoys being on her tum so much more than she used to
Big smile after rice cereal - she is doing so well with her 'solids'!
Another shot of our Becks laying in the grass outside!

This is How I Roll

We've been working with Beckett on rolling for a few weeks now, mostly just trying to get her used to rolling on her sides and that her legs and arms were independent of each other (she tended to stay in a straight line). I had heard to expect something like this:

  • rolling from tummy to back between 2 - 5 months
  • rolling from back to side between 4.5 - 5 months
  • rolling from back to tummy between 5.5 - 7.5 months
Well Beckett rolled from back to side around month 3 and did back to tummy yesterday morning and tummy to back yesterday afternoon, June 26, at 4.5 months (20 weeks old!). Yay! She seemed so very pleased with herself - love it.

While I wasn't able to capture the 'first time' on camera yesterday, I did capture it this morning as she does it pretty much the minute you lay her down now, especially if there is a toy involved that is just out of reach!

Week 19: 7 Days of Beckett

Day 127 (6/15); happy smiley girl - she is seriously all smiles now. I took 15 pictures and each one was just a different, happy smile!
Day 128 (6/16); Our sunshine on Father's Day! She spent her morning with her dad, and even got to see Mikeys that afternoon! Lucky lady in her new dress from Mikey and Ann
Day 129 (6/17); Happy bug after her last bottle just before bed
Day 130 (6/18); Little Becks teething
Day 131 (6/19); hard to get a pic of Becks without her hand in her mouth these days! Thankfully she's not in too much pain most days, when she is though it just breaks my heart!
Day 132 (6/20); this was her first really bad day of teething - we had a long, rough afternoon and early evening - poor thing!
Day 133 (6/21); sweet baby girl in her nightgown before bed
Likes:
  • Mostly the same as last week: baths, stroller rides, sleepsack, her bolster, and peekaboo
  • She is also especially loving her butterfly lately - so sweet to watch her crunch it
  • Her nubby pink/yellow Munchkin teether
  • Alphabet letter links
  • Laughing with Dad when he gives her raspberries
  • Sucking on her thumbs and fists
  • Putting everything into her mouth - if she reaches it, she grasps it, and it goes straight into her mouth!
Dislikes:
  • Her new schedule/being put in her crib; we moved to her 4 - 6 month schedule (from the 8 - 16 week one) and it's been quite an adjustment dropping another nap & bottle. She is getting used to it though - it's now been 6 days and she is doing wonderful
  • Teething; 'nuf said.

Four Month Check-up

I just realized I never posted about this! It was in Friday, June 14, when she was just 6 days past her four-month birthday. She is super healthy and progressing along wonderfully in terms of growth and development!

She is now 14.1 pounds, 65th percentile, and 25" tall, 85th percentile. She had her shots and did so well! Yes, she turned red and cries but not as bad as her two month when she really seemed shocked and like she got her feelings hurt. :(

Here is a pic from just before shots and one just after when we headed on our way!

Our Little Reacher!

She is really reaching for stuff now all on her own! Pediatrician says it's time to start being super careful with our drinks and food around her - especially hot coffee - eek!

Week 18: 7 Days of Beckett

Day 120 (6/8); Happy Baby Beckett back in her jams after a family photo shoot on her four-month-old birthday
Day 121 (6/9); Bottle from Dad before bedtime - the next day he would go to work full-time ending  their month of full-time fun @ home!
Day 122 (6/10); First Monday home with mom; we battled the rain to make it to a lunch in Perimeter!
Day 123 (6/11); Happy girl before we left the house for her fifth photo shoot! (this one was for a Bright Starts bouncer)
Day 124 (6/12); Quick picture before our early morning walk with a mom and her son Henry, and a day of fun, including grocery shopping, with Monica! (thanks to the Veloti for her adorable outfit!)
Day 125 (6/13); Happy bug on the couch while facetiming with Lindsey! (before errands to the bank and Joann Fabric - someone is getting a blackout liner for her curtains - it is still WAY too bright to go down at 8:30 p.m.!) (another thanks to the Veloti, this was a gift from sweet Emma!)
Day 126 (6/14); Sweet Becks with her serious face on after her four-month shots and long nap
Not going to lie, I feel like such a happy, lucky girl to be able to stay home with this sweet baby. We had such a wonderful week. So many smiles from this one! Here are a few of her likes and dislikes from this week:

Likes:

  • Baths (still seems to be her favorite time of day! She laughs and smiles BIG for Austin)
  • Stroller rides (fell asleep during our family walk and during my walk with a friend and her baby boy!)
  • Her sleep sack (she literally smiles HUGE when we lay her on the fuzzy, fleece, plush gunapod.
  • "Standing"
  • Sucking her thumb (and putting everything in her mouth - her fists, toys, etc.)
  • Stacy, the baby wrangler at her photo shoots - she smiles SO BIG for Stacy and her funny noises
  • Her bolster - helps her when she does tummy time - she seems to enjoy it much more when we use it
  • Peekaboo - wow - she loves some peekaboo. We play with her bib and say "where's that Beckett" and remove it and she is PUMPED - very happy to be there and see you again - it's kind of awesomely adorable.
Dislikes:
  • Her blackout curtains - I think she's still getting used to them. We just put them in yesterday and I can tell she's adjusting to less light
  • Her pacifier - she seems over it and really prefers her thumb/fist/hand!
  • Sunlight - she still behaves like quite the little vampire when sun hits her face - like startles and whines
