Week 44: 7 Days of Beckett

Day 302 (12/7); happy girl in her Auburn gear on SEC day! Me and Becks took Austin to the marta stop for the game, then did a bit of shopping and watched the game together - Auburn won, again - woo!
Day 303 (12/8); Bathtime Beckett playing with her hairbrush! She is teething bad and really putting things toward her back teeth - we're pretty sure her molars are coming in - eek!
Day 304 (12/9); happy girl pulling up on the couch with her water bottle - a true favorite toy!
Day 305 (12/10); her teething face - not quite sad, not happy either - just uncomfortable but there is nothing we can do to help - poor girl!
Day 306 (12/11); Happy girl eats her peas & pears - she is still taking purees... but I can tell she is resisting them more and much and much prefers feeding herself!
Day 307 (12/12); playing with clothes from our closet - she loves to play in our closet and touch the different fabrics. Mostly she likes the door stopper haha
Day 308 (12/13); hanging in her pack & play making her teething face (biting inside of gums) - she LOVES to stand up in here and in her crib.
Likes:
  • standing up all the time on anything
  • eating all by herself (not big on being fed anymore)
  • avocados are fast favorites, as are eggs
Dislikes:
  • the usual: being confined in any situation whether it's for diaper or clothing changes, the car seat for car rides, etc. - she wants to be free all. the. time!
  • noises that didn't used to bother her - tape being pulled off a box, the mixer, the blowdryer, etc. She calms down but it definitely scares her :(
Her Week in a Nutshell:
  • Saturday: Visited Perimeter mall; drove Dad to marta; spent the day with Mom and watched Auburn win the SEC championship (well, she watched the first half)
  • Sunday: Family Day with Mom & Dad; rewatched the SEC game
  • Monday: Visit to new gym's Infant Room with Miss Gretchen; bath time with Dad while Mom had Ornament Exchange
  • Tuesday: Infant Room with Miss Gretchen and day with Mom while Dad had a Client Christmas Dinner
  • Wednesday: Infant Room with Miss Gretchen at mid-morning; visit to Staples & the Chiropractor that afternoon with Mom; bathtime with Dad!
  • Thursday: Rainy day in with Mom; Pediatrician for flu booster shot that afternoon; evening with Mom while Dad had another Client Dinner
  • Friday: Infant Room with Miss Gretchen at mid-morning; Visit from Miss Sharon and Baby Peyton that afternoon
This was a LONG week. I say that because it's just tough when Austin is gone all day. Tough for him as the days are long, tough for Beckett as she doesn't get to see him at all and tough for me as I'm like this. day. will. never. end. Once in a while? Cool! But Saturday was solo as we couldn't get a babysitter for the SEC championship game. Then Tuesday was solo... and Thursday... and Friday. The back-to-back days with teething, busy baby were tough - the weekend couldn't come quickly enough to give me and baby girl some company besides each other! SO, was it a bad week? No, just tough and long. She is a sweet, 10-month-old girl! But at this age it also means she's mobile, quick, busy, into everything and it's just tough to keep an eye on her every second sometimes!

  1. Aw, you can def see the 'sick eyes' in those teething shots. Lola looks like that sometimes too when she is having a hard time with the teeth - makes me feel so bad! And I totally feel you on the long days...it's like I'm back at work just waiting for the clock to tick by! I know it's totally normal but I feel bad sometimes...the internal struggles of a stay at home mom. Sigh.
