 |
| Day 157 (7/15); Beckett smiles from her jumperoo - she really lights up when her feet hits the floor and you step back and she just knows she's up there on her own - pretty cute! |

| Day 158 (7/16); Happy Beckett smiling from her activity chair! |
 |
| Day 159 (7/17); Dad's home from work! Big smiles before they go out to the garden to pick tomatoes, jalapenos, okra and bell peppers! |
 |
| Day 160 (7/18); Smiley, tounge-out Beckett plays with her wrist rattles - she loves them almost as much as her ankle rattles. She kicks so much the ankle rattles will always win! |

| Day 161 (7/19); iPhone shot of Baby Beckett en route to Birmingham with her big girl sippy cup |
Well, this was another wonderful week with our sweet girl! Some weeks are tougher than others - per this great book Devie loaned me, we sometimes have rough weeks where she's learning a new skill. For instance, the week she was learning to roll was tough. Once she got it, the weeks following have been great. Yes, she has tough days, I'd say 1 every 7 - 10 days she's just having a no good very bad day with her teething, tummy troubles and downright fussiness! (don't we all LOL) But for the most part she is our happy little girl, just smiling, "talking", kicking and taking everything in with those big eyes of hers. I know we'll have some rough weeks ahead, as she learns to crawl and sit up on her own, two skills she is working on, but I'm so happy for her because the look on her face once she masters a new skill is pretty priceless - it's amazing that these little humans can still get that look of accomplishment! Here are a few key likes and dislikes from the week!
Likes:
- Practicing with her sippy cup - she loves to hold it on her own
- Knawing on her spoons - she takes them out of my hand and eats them before tossing them on the floor. Good times. And yes, we run the dishwasher like once a day now!
- Her wrist and ankle rattles - especially the ankle ones as it makes her kicking even more fun
- Sucking on her thumb
- Seeing new faces - she is amazed by faces and loves to touch them
- Petting her poodles - they let her, it's so sweet, she squeals when she touches their soft coats
- Tummy time - she can't. get. enough!
- Peaches - she tried them and loved them!
Dislikes:
- Long car rides - Friday's ride was an hour longer than expected and the last 30 minutes of the ride were tough - girlfriend was bored and not having it!
- Any activity for longer than 10 minutes. She loves mixing it up!
Her Week in a nutshell:
- Sunday: She got to visit with her Aunt Devon and her Gigi; her mom got a great walk with Sharon that evening!
- Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday she visited the gym daycare for an hour each day and saw two of her favorite peeps - Shannon and Mercedes!
- Tuesday she went to two banks with her mom - the whole family is officially at Wells Fargo now!
- Wednesday she went to the chiropractor for her mom's appointment - the loud table sounds didn't scare her - yay!
- Thursday we had a visit from Melissa during her lunch break - so fun to hear how her and the family are doing - we can't wait to meet Mckenna (Mel is 20 weeks along due in December with her second girl!); her mom also had a great walk with Sharon
- Friday we packed up for Birmingham, bathed the pups, had several contractors come by for the mailbox and to reset the tile - we got to town, Becks had her bath and bottle, and then me and Austin headed over to Jimmy and Mary's for a quick visit with them, their sweet girl Emma and the Cardens! We also returned several great loaned items so that Jimmy's brother Paul and wife Cara can use them with their new little boy Xander!
